A match up between the Pinoy pound-for-pound King Manny Pacquiao and Joshua Clottey a Puerto Rican boxer is going to happen this March 2010 after the negotiation for the Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr failed that supposedly the most awaited historical fight locked this year.
The defense fight for Manny’s WBO welterweight won from Miguel Cotto will not that give much impact to boxing enthusiasts but still a challenge for Joshua Clottey. Joshua Clottey a Puertorican boxer star had fought Antonio Margarito and also Miguel Cotto but did not won.
Clottey has 35-3 and with 20 KO. It may not be as explosive as the match between Pacquiao and Mayweather or Pacquiao and Yuri Foreman fight, Clottey has been known to be a tough and stylistic match for everyone and can be treated as a must seen face off.
Dovid Efune, PR director of team Foreman confirmed that Freedie Roach, Manny Pacquiao’s trainer doesn’t want to gamble the boxing career of the Filipino’s ring idol as for WBA junior middleweight division king, Yuri Foreman is much stronger. According to Efune, Roach is threatened if Pacman is ever to have a match up with Foreman because the later is much heavier and much younger much taller.
