Lake Delhi dam breaks | Property owner hopes for restoration

Heavy water rushing through the broken lake Delhi dam this weekend leaving dead fish, mud and property near it devastated. The dam is said to be broken due to the heavy rains this weekend, causing unexpected level of water that tears the weak part of the dam until it collapse leaving just the concrete part of it.



The force of water that are coming from the dam cause the damage of nearly half of thousands property near the swollen river. The dam break emptied the lake and damage properties leaving the owner to hope for the lake to be restored, but it is up to the association whether to rebuild it.


Lake Delhi dam, built in 1927 to create hydroelectricity is recently used for recreation and association member that pay dues for maintainance.
